Congratulations to our Track and Field Special Olympians

Athletes from our Adult Services program had a fantastic day at their Special Olympics Track and Field event last month. Everyone really enjoyed themselves, and many, MANY medals were awarded.  Latham’s Adult Services team did an amazing job supporting our Special Olympians in their achievements, and it was a great day of athletics, sportsmanship, and mastery – made even brighter by the beautiful weather.

After the inspirational event, Director of Adult Services Gina Sheehan told her colleagues, “I am so thankful that all the residents we work with have all of you. For everyone that helped during the event and during practices, there wouldn’t be Latham Flyers team without your support, coaching, and care. Direct Care is certainly a job that will change your life. You have changed the lives of so many others, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of this program with you!”

To our Special Olympians and our dedicated Latham Centers staff, WELL DONE!  And extra-special CONGRATULATIONS to Lili (pictured in the collage), who won the Heart of a Winner award!
